A Break for the Summer

So, it looks like our summer is shaping up to be a busy one, as I'm sure it is with a lot of you. Being a teacher, I am off for the summer months, but it is amazing how quickly it goes by. We are anticipating that we may not be able to keep up with blogging like we would want to during the summer, so we have decided to take a break over the summer - from the blog NOT the sex :)

We will be back blogging again in September and are excited to continue the conversations then!

Have a great summer,

Melanie

Father’s Day Part Deux

I think I finished my first Father's Day blog around 9:30 am and then we headed out for brunch with my Aunt and Uncle who were going through Calgary. I love brunch; a good eggs benny or something like it is hard to beat. I was a little choked though that Melanie was going to be heading off to work as soon as we got home and my father's day would be just like any other day. It does turn out that I am going to be getting an actual Father's Day in lieu of this one where I had to cover while Melanie is working. I know I am a huge baby, but I do like Father's Day. I try to make a big deal of Mother's Day so I do hope for the same on my day.

After Melanie left, the kids and I hung out and had some lunch and them I got them down for their naps. This was where my day actually got kinda fun. Don't get me wrong, I love spending time with the kiddies, but my afternoon alone was a lot of fun. With our refocusing on exciting sex I got us some books to read, and it turns out I read 3 in one afternoon. I want to give some blog book reviews coming up this week, so I wont say much, but I have to say that I ended up with sex on the brain. I was ready to jump Melanie the moment she came home (I can't cuz she is menstruating... boo).

Some of the suggestions and ideas and positions got me quite excited about the near future and I ended up spending the evening after the kiddies to bed for the night both reading and fantasizing and touching myself in anticipation of what is to come. I had one very vivid fantasy that I really want to act out and I wrote it down for Melanie as I think it's something the two of us can pull off fairly easily at this stage of our marathon.

I had tried writing sex stories about Melanie and I a couple times before and while she thought they were incredibly hot, I believe she couldn't contain her fingers while reading, she felt threatened by them and asked me to stop and she didn't want to read them anymore. It was with a little fear of rejection that I proposed my story to her and she agreed to listen if I wanted to read it to her. She felt threatened initially, but after a lot of talking and assuring she liked the idea.

Basically she felt a little like my fantasy diminished other things that we had done that were either similar or just as hot that were initiated by her. I had to explain to her that this was a very specific scenario that I had thought up and if I didn't say anything, it wouldn't have a chance of happening. Once she got that she was great and if we can all get healthy and off our period, it might happen really soon (I'm pretty excited).

I did get one great father's day bonus: following our talk about fantasy I got a pretty spectacular blow job.

Happy Father’s Day

So guess what happened?!?! We decide to put more emphasis on having awesome sex and all that and then Melissa's time of the month comes. What kind of garbage is that?  We are both all excited about some upcoming sex and now we're rained out. That doesn't mean there hasn't been some great other things happening though.

It has been a crazy busy week for both of us. I am still working insane hours at work and it has been Melanie's last week of school. Report cards have been due and therefore I mostly just saw Melanie at her laptop working on those all week. But like I said there have been some silver linings to these clouds.

I am not sure if I mentioned it, but I got a new iPad 2 for work and I gave Melanie my old one. The only reason I need the second generation is I really need the camera in it for work. I tell you this because most of our family and friends are conservative types and having sex books (and other toys/lube) sitting around has proven awkward a couple of times now. I had this great idea that since we both have iPads now we can both get the Kindle app and have our sex books nicely concealed inside a harmless looking piece of technology.

I am currently reading A Little Bit Kinky by Dr. Natasha Valdez. It's actually amazing, there are so many great tips for taking the mundane sex we always get into and spicing it up. I have been highlighting the areas I think we should try and I am going to get Melanie to do the same when she reads it. Melanie is currently reading Tickle His Pickle by Dr. Sadie Allison. I read it first as it is only like a 3 hour read and there are so many amazing ways to deal with boy bits in there. If Melanie tries 1/2 of what is in there and highlighted, I will be a happy man. I strongly suggest this one to all the ladies out there.

We started off the week with some very hot sex as Melanie hadn't started her period yet. If you haven't tried having sex in pitch black (can't see a thing), you should try it. We started out with tonnes of very hot kissing and then made our way into things much hotter. After a week off and a terrible case of blue balls we were ready to jump each other and it showed.

With report cards in progress most of our week was spend separately together as Melanie did report cards and I either read or watched TV. But when Friday came around I was almost ready to jump Melanie, period or no period, but opted for the exchange. She was playing a Sudoku on her iPad and I waited for her to finish her puzzle then slid her iPad out of the way and started kissing her in a way that suggested something more was going to happen.

Saturday was quite exciting because we got to go shopping without the kids. I got a babysitter and we headed to Chinook Mall. Melanie needed a spring dress to wear for her Kindergarten Grad and I wanted to buy her some new bras as hers no longer fit and are getting pretty ratty as there are from after our smallest was born. Dress shopping was pretty fun and gave me an idea to do something similar but without the intention of buying, we could just go to the mall with the intention of sexing it up and not buying anything. I'd try on stuff that she liked and she would do the same, the intention is to "skank it up."

So we just got a Victoria's Secret in Calgary and wow it is quite the store, even Melanie was impressed. We decided on two bras, one for her and one for me. Next month we would do the same as she really needs a few bras, but let's be honest, VS bras ain't cheap. I suggested she try on a couple push up bras, I'm a guy what can I say, and did she ever love what they did for her boobs. She got one she could wear to work that she thinks es even more comfy that her other bras and one that is nice and lacy for me. Her rack went from great to WOW. She keeps walking around the house looking down at her cleavage and pulling down her shirt so she can show me. I am quite enjoying her new love for her boobs.

Now were are here at Father's day and I have to say it's kind of a disappointment because Melanie has to go to work all day and get ready for Kindergarten grad. I apparently get to pick a different Father's day though so I guess that is ok, I just hope it works out. I really hope after her grad she is done her period because I would like to have some fun with her in that new dress she got. I might have to drop some hints though.

I have to run for now, I do get a brunch out of the deal so eggs benny here I come.

Re-Evaluation

First we both want to say thank you so much for your comments and feedback. We took a week off from everything, both the blog and sex, so we could talk and think about how to best proceed. With a week off we learned a couple of things about how we are feeling about things right now. Melanie and I both really missed having sex for a week. There were a number of times that one of us or both wanted to jump the other, but for the sake of our week off we decided that it's best to just let the tension build.

We also felt that we needed to put an emphasis on making our sex more exciting. We started off this marathon with a passion for learning about sex and pleasing each other. We have strayed a long ways from that and basically just got stuck in routine again. We are finding that it is very difficult to not fall into the mindset of getting it done for the sake of getting her done. Melanie and I are going to be looking for resources on how to get the excitement back.

Along with excitement, the other aspect that seemed to be lacking as of late is intimacy and passion. The same get-her-done so we can get on with our evening mindset that takes away excitement is what affects intimacy. We focus on getting to the big O for the same of time and we skip all the touch and kissing that helps bring us together. We had some great feedback from you about taking the orgasm out of the equation the problem is that we both really enjoy that part of it. We need to focus more on the journey rather than the destination.

So what was the result of our week off and deliberations? We both quickly knew that we didn't want to give up on our marathon, but we knew that something needed to change. Our website wont change, but we're not going to be making our 260 day goal. This originally made me feel like a complete failure, but I am realizing that a year is a very long time and we have had some major changes in our lives lately and what seemed realistic before isn't as realistic anymore. The other thing that I am realizing is that quality of sex is much more important than quantity.

We have accomplished 5 months of our initial goal and it has been amazing, but it has also put some stress on us that we need to remedy. We have had sex over 110 times so far this year, which is probably more than we have had in our entire 8 years of marriage. This marathon has been so great up to this point and we need the second half to be better than the first. Our new goal will still be to have sex 5 days a week, but we know that 3 0r 4 times may be more realistic and 3 times will be our new baseline.

As you all have noticed our blog has been suffering the last number of weeks. This is because when life get's chaotic, this is the easiest thing to drop. We end up getting behind and then feel like we have a whole whack of writing to do, which we just don't have time for. We are also going to use that 3 times baseline that we are using for sex for our blog. Our goal is to blog 5 times, but 3 or for is more realistic. We hope that we can reveal more about what we are feeling and learning rather than just going through our day if we have fewer entries (again, quality over quantity).

For our second half we will have a new emphasis on excitement and intimacy and quality over quantity. You have all been so supportive and we really love your tracking with us along our journey. We are looking forward to sharing with you what we continue to learn as we continue this marathon.

Why Do Canadians Like Doggy Style

So they can both watch the hockey game.

I love that joke so we had to do that during the hockey game just so we could make this post. It was really too bad that Boston whooped Vancouver. I did have a bit of trouble finishing because I wasn't really in the mood and was a little distracted by the hockey game ;) It was a lot of fun though.

I have been working about 50 hours a week for the last two week and unfortunately this blog is what is suffering. I miss you all! My new job is so great. I have to say that it is so nice to get a real pay cheque and to get paid by the hour. There is a direct correlation between how hard I work and how much I get paid which seems to sit well with me. The company I am working for has the same values for quality of work that I have and I feel like I am going to fit in well.

We had a bit of a scare very recently, Melanie thinks she's late and that prompted a quick trip out to grab a pregnancy test. OMG! I was so unbelievably freaked out, that's just not in the plans right now or ever really. We had to have a chit chat after the test was negative about birth control as we have only been using condoms and I am not snipped. Melanie feels that the pill might be the best alternative for now until I get cut.

We have to confess we are struggling right now with the marathon. Melanie and I are both so exhausted right now and our sex has been suffering so much. We have a get it done mentality and it is so not exciting or passionate. I don't want to give up on this goal, but at the same time this is supposed to bring us together and right now it's doing the opposite. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Aside from the marathon and the blog I feel like we as a family are starting to get to where I hoped we would be at this time in our lives. I am optimistic and excited about what is to come in the near future. I was excited about 2011 at the end of 2010 and I had to shut down the company, so I guess you could call this cautious optimism.

Keep us in your thoughts and prayers and please give us your thoughts on what we should do about this marathon.

Game 1

Well, it's crunch time at school - only 7 student days left. It was a busy day trying to get through more in a day than I had hours for. I think the students are ready to be on holidays too. We finished our Under the Sea Unit and now we get to learn about bugs and plants! I had meetings after school today, so I didn't get to pick up the kids until after 5:30. Our son had another great day (I think the "phase" is over), so we decided to pick up Little Caesars Pizza for supper. When we got home, Ryan had a plan. He wanted to head down to West World Computers to get his new iPad. So we quickly inhaled pizza and we were off. Ryan's new work offered to help pay for an iPad 2, so he can take pictures of jobs, write/draw on them and email them to people for feedback. It actually is quite brilliant. This is one of the only stores in the city that actually has iPad 2's instock. Most place have to order them, or you just have to wait until they get a shipment.

On the way home, the kids fell asleep in the car - so tired. Our son decided he didn't want a bath and just wanted to go right to bed, so we got them ready and into bed. He was quite pleased to realize that the thunder and lightning had stopped. I was too, as I was not looking forward to a night of having a scared little boy to deal with.

I had originally made plans to hang out with a friend and then Ryan reminded me that it was Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals tonight. So I cancelled my plans and we hung out and watched the game together. We had PVRed it, since we were going to be out when the game started. We had planned to have sex during the game - hockey sex is fun! But we were both tired and very into the game, which was quite intense, that we ended up not having sex during the game. The Canucks won 1-0 and scored with 20 seconds left in the 3rd period. It was a great game.

Then we headed to the bedroom for a little fun. We decided to use our double vibrating ring. Apparently Ryan was just too tired and not really into sex because he ended up just finishing me with the vibrator and then we cuddled up and went to sleep. It's still nice to know that I'm not the only one who isn't into it all the time :)

I Have a Headache

I felt a bit better at work today. It has been a while since I started a new job and I had forgotten that it is actually very stressful and awkward as you feel your way around blindly. I do think that this job is going to work out very well, I can see good things happening after I have a year under my belt.

I was out shadowing the current supervisor for most of the day. I was learning about the current projects and all that fun stuff. But when I got back to the shop I had to continue oiling this wood that has to be installed on Monday. I didn't really think how it would effect me. It is an oil base and was apparently stronger than I thought. By 3:30, I was feeling pretty crappy and I had a head ache building.

I hopped on the Deerfoot to get home and it was backed up way more than it should have been for the time of day. I called Melanie's cell and she was about half an hour behind me on the Deerfoot. She was thrilled to hear all about what she was about to experience. After an hour in the "parking lot" I got home and just crashed on the couch feeling like my head was dipped in paint thinner.

Thankfully our son's soccer game was cancelled because we have had so much rain. We had some left overs then players with e kids and after they got into bed Melanie had to go to walmart and I had to lay down. I caught a movie on TV and then when ten rolled around we headed to the bedroom for the exchange. This should be the last day of Melanie's time of the month so Friday should be fun.

Soo Tired

I was so tired today. Last night we were up until around 1:30, because we PVRed the Canuck's game and then had to finish watching it through double overtime. Thankfully they won so it was sort of worth it. It was definitely difficult getting through the day though.

Ryan had another good day at his new job. He's shadowing the current supervisor, who he will be replacing, so he's getting to see what his job will be once the other guy leaves. it seems to be going well, which is great because it means I don't have to deal with a grouchy husband in the evenings :)

When I picked our kids up from daycare I found out that our son had another great day! It seems like he was just going through a bit of a "phase" and now he's back to being himself, which is so nice. He decided that he would like to get ice cream with daddy because he's had a great day. So we had leftovers for supper and then headed over to Dairy Queen. I thought we were going to go in, but Ryan did drive through and then we brought our ice cream home. It was a nice way to end the day.

We bathed the kids and got them into bed and then we turned on the Boston-Tampa game and I sat down on the couch to relax. The next thing I knew Ryan was waking me up and telling me to just go to bed if I was that tired. I had fallen asleep on the couch and it was only 8:50pm. I got up to get ready for bed and Ryan let me know that we had the final episode of Glee downloaded and ready to watch. I didn't think I could do it, but by the time I brushed my teeth and washed my face I had woken up a bit, so we watch our show and then fell into bed around 10:00.

It was nice to get to bed at a reasonable time tonight.

Rush Hour Loathing

Is there a stronger word than hate? If there is, I feel that way about rush hour. I think the only thing that is worse than rush hour is getting up super early just to hop in your vehicle and hit rush hour.

Today was my first day on the new job. Overall it was a good day, but I think the hardest part for me will be getting used to the whole 8 - 5 thing. I am trying to finish up some things for the current supervisor so he can leave with a bunch of his jobs finished before I step into his position.

I started working on a crazy privacy screen for a patio. It is made out of this insanely expensive mahogany called batu. Expensive as in an 8' 2x8 costs over $90. I have to say working with expensive materials is very nerve wracking.

I finished off the day with another trip through rush hour on the Deer Foot and got home wondering what the he'll I was thinking going to work for "the man". As I am feeling a little frazzled I realize that it is not Monday and I am coaching soccer tonight. It was so worth it though, my team is awesome! My son scored a whole whack of goals too.

When we got home I had PVR'd the Canucks game and we turned that on. After four full periods and half of a fifth, it was after midnight. Canucks won so it was worth it, but morning is going to come very very quickly!

I did surprise Melanie with a little show (aunt flo is still visiting). She was getting a few things ready and I started by myself so that she walked into the room to "catch" me in the act. She seemed to really enjoy that, and so did I.

Good night,
Ryan

A Day at the Zoo

I was very glad to wake up to no rain today. We had plans to go to the Zoo with my parents and our son was very excited. The weather was actually perfect - cloudy but warm.

We decided to spend the day and not come home for regular naps, since it was my parents last day with us. We had a great time wandering around the Zoo and chasing the kids. I discovered that it's actually easier for me to go to the Zoo by myself with both kids, because I know that I have to watch them both. With so many other adults around I find myself assuming that someone else will be watching them. We stopped at the Kitamba Cafe for lunch and then continued on our way. By 2:30 we were all pretty tired and decided to head to the playground for a bit and then we'd get some ice cream and go home. Unfortunately our son decided to have a bit of a melt-down, so we ended up just leaving the playground and going home with no ice cream. We tried to keep the kids awake until we got home, so we could put them down for short naps - they so needed it.

We PVRed the hockey game, so we sat down to relax and watch the game while we decided what to do for supper. My parents figure that since they are here on holidays that we should eat every meal out - which is okay with me. We decided to order Swiss Chalet delivery for something different. It was pretty good.

Gramma and Grampa played with the kids a bit before bedtime and then they left to go back to their hotel. They would head home in the morning. It was nice to have them, but it's always nice to see company go too. It's nice to have the house back and just relax.

Ryan and I are still both feeling pretty crappy and it is also that time of the month, so sex really was not high on the priority list. I would have loved to just go to bed, but there's this marathon. It's actually been a really great thing, because there have been times when we would not have put any effort into each other or into intimacy (times like tonight), but because of the marathon we have to. It's causing us to think about each other and about being together even when we wouldn't. And I'm discovering that even when we do something simple or quick, it's still time that we are spending together.\

Tonight when Ryan came to bed I asked him I could use Nea while he watched. As if he would say no :) Once I started, he realized that he couldn't just watch and so we both gave each other a little show before we curled up and went to sleep. It was really nice!

Looking forward to feeling better very soon!

The Mosquito Combination

I am apparently the person that everyone comes to when they need to buy tools. My father in law needed to buy a drill; something small but powerful and light with a chuck. We headed to Home Depot and I pointed out the Milwaukee 12v M12 drill. He picked it up and we headed home.

Melanie, the kids and her Mom headed to the park where the perfect storm of Mosquitos drifted in. It was hot but humid and then the sun went behind some clouds. They got back to the house as if they ran the whole way home and our poor daughter got like 5 bites on her face, and she is allergic to those bites. Five quarter sized bumps are going to be driving her nuts over the next few days now.

Then the kids went to bed and we started to watch the hockey game. We both really want to see a Canucks / Bruins Stanley Cup final. After the game we headed to church and we did our thing there and got home and got the kiddies to bed and watched a new show that we started: Mad Love. It is a great romantic comedy!

After we watched a few episodes we headed to bed. Melanie had suggested earlier that we should masturbate for each other. I was of course all in, but then her time of month showed up and she was not feeling like much down there and decided I would go solo. That was great as always and the we headed off to dream land.

Almost feeling better,
Ryan

It comes is 3′s? Nope… 4′s

If we blogged about Wednesday and Thursday separately they would look a little like this:

"We laid on the couch all day and all night. All 4 of us had fevers and there was no sex to be had."

I personally have not had a sore throat this bad EVER. I called our doctors office first thing on Thursday to see if they could fit me in and miraculously they had an opening for me. I figured if I am starting a new job on Tuesday, I had better be healthy. My doctor took one look at my throat and told me I have strep.

I asked him if he would be able to see the rest of the family in the next couple of days and he said to get them to the clinic in thirty minutes. We barely made that happen and the kids both have ear infections and Melanie just has a really bad cold.

I have eaten over twenty freezes in 48 hours as that is the only thing that doesn't hurt. Melanie and I haven't slept at all. I haven't slept because of my sore throat wakes me up and Melanie hasn't slept because I have apparently been snoring non stop (my sore throat is apparently the culprit) which means I also haven't been sleeping because she has been kicking me when I snore. It is a vicious cycle.

My inlaws showed up on Thursday evening and while it is nice to have them, I am just trying not to spread too many germs while at the same time be hospitable.

I will tell you what, if I am not feeling any better on Friday, I don't think we will be able to make this week happen. This is debilitating!

Think healthy thoughts folks!

To the Dump, To the Dump, To the Dump Dump Dump

Why is it that when you can sleep in you wake up early and can't get back to sleep? That is what happened to me this morning. I could have slept in until 9am and I really need the sleep being sick, but I woke up around 7:30... I was not impressed.

The kids woke up soon after and we all hung out until Melanie woke up at 10. Was I ever jealous! She is sick too so I guess I cannot say much. After a leisurely time this morning I had to get some work done. I have a few loose ends to tidy up before I start my new job.

After 2 trips to the dump and moving a lot of materials back to my shop I was spent. I had no energy to start and by this time I was done I was ready to collapse. I did take my son to the dump once and he thought it was the coolest place ever. Big trucks and big tractors are apparently very exciting for a 3 year old.

When I was finished bring collapsed on the couch and while the kids were napping we headed into the shower and Melanie gave me a blow job in the shower... So awesome. Then, because Melanie doesn't orgasm well standing up we headed right to the bed and I went down on her just to make sure things were fair :)

She promptly fell asleep and I watched some golf until it was time for soccer practice. Our son scored 5 goals and it was awesome. Now that the kickers are in bed I think some tea and TV are in order with an early bed time.

It's great to be back in the swing of things!

The Ice Cream Expectation

It actually started out as a pretty good Monday. In the morning I drew an ice cream cone one our son's hand as a reminder that if he had a good day at daycare that we could go for ice cream when I picked him up. He has been having some trouble listening at daycare and is following a little boy who is not a very good example.

My day at work went really well. The kids were great and we got lots done. I can't believe that there are only 11 more student days of Kindergarten left. The year has gone by so fast. Right now the big stress at work is whether or not I will have a job in the fall. Enrollment is down at our school and there is a chance we won't have a third Kindergarten class. This would mean that my job would be gone. I am really hoping and praying that we will get some registrations and I can teach Kindergarten again next year. I have loved my first year with this grade and it would be sad to leave. It is nice that Ryan has a job though, so at least both our jobs aren't up in the air.

Anyway, I left work early because I was quite anxious about how our son's day at daycare went. When I picked the kids up I found out that he had a great day and was a great listener. I was so happy and relieved! We headed to Dairy Queen for ice cream and a reward. At this point in the day the tylenol was wearing off and by the time we got home I was feeling awful. The kids played while I sat on the couch. I had planned to go to a play at my school in the evening, but opted out considering how I was feeling.

Ryan got home from his first day at his new job around 6:00. Things went very well and I am so proud of him! He was also feeling pretty crappy, so we didn't have much of an evening. We ate supper, got the kids to bed and then headed downstairs to watch some shows. We finished the last episode of season 4 of Chuck (our favourite show) and I am very sad that it is finished. It may be the end of the series, so we are going to have to find a new show :(

We headed upstairs around 11:00 and hadn't really discussed the evenings options. I got ready for bed while Ryan blogged and I put the Tenga egg on his pillow and then laid down and fell asleep. He woke me up when he came in and laughed a bit that I put the egg on his pillow. He entertained me with an egg show and then I fell asleep. I'm assuming he read his book, but I really don't know because I was asleep in about 2 seconds.

Hopefully we are both feeling better tomorrow.

GOOD NEWS!

I got a job! I am a construction supervisor! I was interviewed and offered the job on Friday. We would have blogged about it but we were too busy on the weekend fishing. I guess I could back up a bit for you.

Thursday I was super down and very unmotivated to do anything so we basically sat and watched TV all afternoon. I know, it's totally pathetic but that was how I was feeling. Then around 4 pm I got 2 calls to come in for interviews on Friday; one first thing in the morning, and the other at the end of the day (the funny part was geographically they were only 2 blocks apart, but a half hour drive from my house).

So Friday started early, and while I enjoyed the interview in the morning and they offered me the job right there I wanted to wait to see how the next interview was going to go. So then we had a little fun passing some time in the afternoon, if you catch my meaning. The next interview was awesome, it was exactly what I wanted and they asked me to start right away at the salary I asked for... go figure. I went to the pub with a bunch of buddies to celebrate and it was awesome! But then when I came home and we had to get ready for a family and friends fishing trip, it turned out to be a late exhausting night.

It was my best bud's birthday this weekend past and we decided to rent a condo and head out fishing in Cypress hills with our family and he and his wife. The condo was amazing and really the best times (aside from one) happened in that room because the fishing SUCKED! When we hit the lake on Saturday, the wind was really picking up. It was gusting up to 65km per hour all weekend. It is virtually impossible to fly fish in that kind of wind.

When we went back to the condo, we got started on supper. BBQ'd steak with shrooms and onions with grilled veggies and roasted potatoes... that plus plenty of beer made us all very very full. We hung out and played some cribbage until it was time to go to bed. I am not sure if the other couple got anything going, but we did the exchange (quietly) and then drifted off to sleep.

Sunday's fishing proved just as useless with the exception of our son caught his first fish (with my help) and that was basically my only goal with this trip. Normally I catch upwards of 30 fish on a weekend trip, but 2 was my max and one of them was with my son which I (and he) was so excited about. He called it a squirmy trout because it kept jumping out of my hands when we went to get a picture. He was so excited!

By the time we both got home on Sunday evening, we were both sick with sore throats and fevers... yah, how much does that suck.

We had some questions about how Melanie has been doing the last couple weeks with our whole situation. She'll be back to blogging real soon, I think she's been busy picking up my slack as I have been a useless blob of crap and she has been trying to be supportive and stuff like that. I think it's just a miracle we have managed to stay the course with the marathon amid all the garbage of the last bit.

Now I am off to give myself a little rub and tug while Melanie watches, as I think that's all we can pull off being sick right now. I am going to make tea first though.

Good night,

Ryan

Down in the Dumps

The waiting game continues! I have not had any new projects come in and I have not had any takers on my applications. I have been so down lately as I have only had one interview for about 20 applications. I don't get it because I have an impressive resume and I am extremely good at what I do. I guess you could use the saying that "there is always a bigger fish" but in this case there is always someone more qualified.

It seems like every time that I sit down to blog about our day, I find myself heading to the classifieds instead of here. Then I get behind and then it becomes a big deal and I've got enough stress right now that I seem to be avoiding pretty much everything that stresses me out even more.

Sex has been pretty decent despite all the garbage going on. Mother's day we pulled off a double hitter. Twice in a row is really quite fun, I think trying to bump that up to three might be something to shoot for in the near future. We used our Duet vibrating cock ring for the second round and that toy is awesome. I think for me it might be slightly better than Chloe as it makes EVERYTHING vibrate... so good!

Then sadly we barely pulled anything off on our 8th anniversary, we did the exchange as we were pretty exhausted. Overall we have been keeping right on track with our sex marathon. I have to say that I don't think we would be on track if it weren't for all of you keeping us accountable. Sometimes we just don't feel like it, but this blog keeps us honest. So thank you!

I am going to go get laid now!

The Waiting Game

Monday and today were so incredibly similar it just makes sense to put them together. The mornings were exactly the same. I reluctantly got out of bed, looked for jobs, then headed to my site to put the final coat of drywall mud on, then headed out to look for matching doors, then came home to look and apply for jobs.

You would think that a 4 panel textured door (pictured to the right) would be something easy to find, but they are a special order thing. I guess that kind of makes sense I have not dealt with one in 5 years, but I just assumed they would be easy to source. You know what assuming does... yah... it makes an ass out of me.

I strongly hate waiting for things when I have no control of the time line or outcome. I am looking for a job in construction site supervision or project management and I know that the competition is going to be steep, but I also know I am very qualified. So I spend half my day thinking of course I will be getting a call and I spend the other half telling myself that they likely have many more qualified people applying. It's a bit of an emotional roller coaster right now.

The difference between Monday and today starts at about 2 pm. Yesterday, we just kind of coasted toward bed time: watched some shows, ate and worked. We even forgot about sex. Today I let Melanie know that I was going to shower and when I got out we were going to screw and she better be ready to go. She was ready to go! When we were done we spent some time cuddling and then watched a couple shows.

After supper our son had his first ever soccer practice/game and I had my first ever coaching experience with under 4 kids. It was a huge challenge but it was so fun and I think that as the season progresses the kids will be a little less shy of me. Our son scored his first goal and we were so proud! I bought us all slushies and we came home and put the little 'uns to bed and watched some hockey and I am going to bed right away.

Keep us in your thoughts,

Ryan

Payment for Services Rendered

The second half of the week was kind of fun despite the fact that I was a little depressed. It's been slow at work and I have had some solid chunks of time in the afternoons all week and will continue to do so for next week also. I have been trying to be productive with my time at home so at least I am not being a huge bum. This has paid dividends with Melanie that is for sure.

I picked up our new dishwasher on Thursday as our old one could really only be referred to as a "dish" as it completely stopped washing. The fun part about the new dishwasher was the price. It was listed at $1000 and I played a couple of sales people at different stores against each other and got it for $500! I was pretty proud of that epic feat of bargaining. So after I picked up our new dishwasher, I brought it home and started to install it. I was getting a little hot so I pulled off my shirt and apparently that got Melanie all hot and bothered as she started to get all hands-y (totally okay with me!). Melanie had a bunch of people over for her dress club while I had a game of golf on my xbox with a friend. When I got into bed, and after Melanie had finished getting ready she came and straddled me and told me I should be rewarded for my work and proceeded to give me probably the best oral sex ever.

Friday I took off as I was feeling a little down and I had no intention of doing anything around the house as I was not feeling terribly motivated. Melanie came up to me and asked what she would have to do sexually for me to put up the over the range microwave today. First you have to understand that I quite often try to get her to offer up something sexually in exchange for me doing a bigger project and it never works so I was suddenly quite motivated. Second, this was not a small project because it required me to rebuild the over the range cabinet and tear our a bunch of tile. Third, Melanie is ummm well it's her time of the month so we couldn't even have intercourse. I told her I'd do it if she put on some sexy lingerie and gave me a blow job and she was quite excited. About five hours later the microwave was in and I was getting the blow job of the century. :)

Saturday and Sunday were insanely busy, but we got in our last session on Sunday night as I gave Melanie a quick show before sleep.

I truly hope that if I can't seem to get more work lined up that I can find a job doing something that I enjoy. I really don't want to work for someone else if I am doing something that I am not excited about. I also hope I can get this all resolved soon as I seem to be spending all my free time looking at potential jobs online rather than blogging. I really just want to get some closure and get things leveled off at this point.

Wish me luck!

Quick Update

I know it was a terrible week for posts. We have been keeping up with the marathon, and in fact the sex has been quite amazing, but unfortunately that is all that seems to be going well this week. Work has been getting very slow and I have been having to decide on whether I need to close my company's doors and go get a real job. This has put me in a very foul place as I feel like a total failure. That is why we haven't been posting. I think I am starting to come out of this funk a little, so I'll give a recap of the week tonight and then pick up blogging again on Monday.
Sorry for the radio silence,

Ryan

Vibrating Puff Shower Sex… NICE!

Easter Monday... I wish I could have taken the whole day off, but I don't get paid days off like some people (Melanie). I had to head onto site to do a few things and thankfully there was a hold up that I ran into that needed to be resolved between my clients before I could move forward so I headed home around noon. Melanie took the kids to the school, she didn't have class but she wanted to get a few things ready for Wednesday.

When I got home I watched some shows that I had recorded and talked to the neighbors. It seems we never see our neighbors during the winter and then we all come out of hibernation and pick up where we left off in the Fall. When Melanie got home, we made the kids some lunch and put them down.

Did you know that Donald Trump might run for president? I just learned this too! Wouldn't that be hilarious?!? I found this out because when we should have been having sex, we were watching Trumps World of Golf. I would totally vote for Donald Trump for Prime Minister, maybe he should move north.

So we pried our butts off the couch and headed to the shower to get wet and wild. We bought a vibrating puff from A Little More Interesting and it makes cleaning your naughty bits a lot of fun ;) Both Melanie and I are very keen on our recent purchase.

The evening was wonderful! We cuddled up and watched Hockey. Simple and relaxing, just the way I like it.

Cheers,

Ryan
